10 February Tuesday
I saw the pharmacist come out of the pharmacy with a small carton. He used a key to open the vending machine on the wall. He filled the machine with little packets of condoms. He slammed the metal door when he was finished. He turned the key before he slapped the side of the machine and said, “Encore les preservatifs.” I did not take a photograph of the man or of the machine. I was more interested in the clock repair shop on the opposite side of the street. EVH
